Ahead:
☐ Research any specific requirements or regulations for your new location, such as taxes, housing, driver’s license requirements or pet registration
☐ Prepare a budget
☐ Confirm immigration requirements to ensure your paperwork is in order before you arrive
☐ Get tax advice
☐ If moving for work purpose, inquire with your employer about a pre-visit trip
☐ Organize tickets and accommodations for your arrival, consider temporary housing until you explore your new location
☐ Forward mail and change address with the post office

☐ Find a home
☐ Register with national insurance board
☐ Obtain a driver’s license
☐ Acquire vehicle (recommended for The Bahamas)
☐ Set up mailing service, new utility accounts (electricity, gas, water, internet, etc.)
☐ Confirm delivery date of your goods with the moving company, prepare for their arrival
